Back At The Computer

It has been several months since I have been able to sit down and think about writing the blog again, but I am happy to report I am back at it and hope to live up to my newly announced status as Curmudgeon Extraordinaire.  Hopefully you have noticed the new format for the blog.  Given that all of you have so much information at your fingertips, I decided to cut out all the cute frills and make it as easy as possible to read.

I intend to write shorter pieces that still rely on data and fact, but are in more intellectually digestible bites.  This goes against my training as an academic where we write endlessly about the most arcane, and often trivial subjects.  I will attempt to revisit the original issues that I began writing about, but feel I have fallen short.

Let me conclude by offering a heartfelt “Thank you” to those who read and use my blogs to cure insomnia.  I will do my best to irritate you, make you laugh, smile, or giggle, offend your sensibilities, and be my curmudgeonly self.
